Ask Claude to put your app online.

A link, a real database and easy sign-in for the little apps you make in Claude.

  1. Step 1 · once

    Add the Boxfort connector

    https://mcp.boxfort.app/mcp

    In Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Paste the address, then type the code we email you. Help with this step

  2. Step 2 · every app

    Ask for it in the chat

    Make me a grocery list app and put it on Boxfort.

    Done! It's live at groceries--maya.boxfort.app

Works in Claude on your phone, the web and your computer. Starts on a free boxfort.app link; connect your own domain later, on Mid and Pro plans.

Already have your app's files? Drag and drop them instead

What happens when you ask

If it runs in a Claude preview, it's most of the way to Boxfort.

  1. Claude sends it

    Boxfort checks your project

    Plain HTML, or a static build from Vite, Astro or SvelteKit. Boxfort swaps browser-only storage for a real shared database. Nothing to configure.

  2. Boxfort hosts it

    You get a link back in the chat

    Your app gets its own address, like groceries--you.boxfort.app. Later, "add a quantity field to my grocery app" picks up where you left off.

  3. Friends join

    Share the link

    Friends see who made the app, tap "Continue as guest" and they're in, with no password to forget.

One tiny SDK instead of a backend

Your app saves data with box.collection(). Boxfort handles the database, the sign-in and who can see what.

The same code runs in a Claude preview, on your laptop and on Boxfort. Away from Boxfort it quietly saves to the browser instead.

// a shared grocery list
const list = box.collection('groceries');

await list.add({ item: 'Oat milk', done: false });

const todo = await list.list({
  where: { done: false },
});

Rather not add a connector?

Download your app from the chat as a file (or its folder), drop it on Boxfort, confirm your email, and it gets a link to share. Built on your computer? Drop the built folder, like dist. More about uploading

Safety

Putting things online is scary. Here's how we keep you safe.

These protections come from Boxfort's servers, not from the app's own page, so no app can switch them off.

  • Every visitor sees who made the app.

    Before an app opens, Boxfort shows a label with the creator's verified handle. The app can't change it or skip it.

  • Anyone can report a site, and the creator can't hide that.

    Every app has a report link served by Boxfort. Reports are reviewed fast, and apps caught phishing are paused right away.

  • Your API keys never reach the browser, and you set the spending cap.

    Keys are stored encrypted and used from our servers. If a deploy has a key in its code, we stop it and show you the fix.

  • Each app is walled off from your other apps.

    Every app gets its own address, its own sign-ins and its own data. One app can't read another's.

  • You decide how many people can join, and you can ban anyone.

    Set a visitor limit for each app, pause it whenever you like, and remove anyone who shouldn't be there.

What every visitor is told: "Boxfort apps are made by individuals. Never enter a password or payment details."

Behind the scenes

  • Creators sign up with a verified email.
  • Every upload is scanned for password forms, phishing kits and leaked keys.
  • Every new deploy is checked against Google Safe Browsing.
  • Rate limits at the edge keep one busy app from affecting anyone else.

What fits in a box

Boxfort is small by design. Hard limits keep it fast, cheap and hard to abuse.

Great for

  • Lists, trackers, planners and sign-up sheets
  • Apps for family, friends, a team or a club
  • Plain HTML or static builds (Vite, Astro, SvelteKit, Create React App)
  • Apps that call AI or email services with your own key

Not for

  • Server code, API routes or cron jobs
  • Taking payments or collecting passwords
  • Large media or video hosting
  • Apps for thousands of strangers
